Analog IC Design Engineer: (Accelerated Global Fellowship)
Location: South Africa, Rwanda, Kenya, Nigeria, and Ghana (Onsite and Hybrid)
Duration: 9–12 Months Intensive Training → Direct Transition to Global Contracts
The Opportunity

We are seeking elite engineers to undergo 9 to 12 months of intensive semiconductor design specialisation, preparing you to join advanced integrated circuit (IC) projects for the world’s most demanding tech giants.
Upon successful completion, you will be deployed as an Analog IC Design Engineer on global contracts, working with cross-functional teams in AI, Automotive, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Agriculture, Industrial Automation and IoT amongst other industries.
What You Will Learn and Do
- Design & Innovate: Architect and implement RTL designs using Verilog/SystemVerilog for high-performance chips.
- Global Collaboration: Partner with Silicon Valley-based teams to deliver production-ready silicon for international clients.
- Full-Lifecycle Ownership: Execute logic synthesis, timing analysis, and low-power optimisation (UPF) to ensure designs meet "Tape-Out" standards.
- Validation Excellence: Apply a rigorous "signoff mindset" to design reviews, coverage closure, and equivalence checking.
- Shape an Industry: Help establish Africa as a global hub for advanced semiconductor engineering and VLSI design.
Minimum Qualifications
- Academic Excellence: Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a relevant technical or industrial role.
- Strong digital design logic (FSMs, pipelining, Clock Domain Crossing/CDC).
- Mixed-signal basics, including sampling theory, jitter, and noise analysis.
- The Toolbelt: Proficiency in Linux-based workflows, Git version control, and scripting (Python, Tcl, or Bash).
- Strong foundation in semiconductor fundamentals, including CMOS, FinFET, PVT variation, parasitics, and reliability
Desired Technical Proficiency
- HDLs: Expertise in Verilog or SystemVerilog.
- STA: Solid grasp of timing constraints (SDC) and Static Timing Analysis.
- EDA Tools: Familiarity with industry-standard stacks (e.g., Synopsys Design/Fusion Compiler, PrimeTime; Cadence Genus/Tempus; Siemens Questa).
- Power & Verification: Knowledge of Low-Power design (UPF) and formal verification/linting tools.
