Role Overview
As a Cashbook Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded, and supporting the finance department in day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining Accurate Financial Records
- Bank Reconciliations
- Process invoices (Staff Claims & Credit Cards & Reconcile Wesbank fuel account)
- Handling Payments & Receipts Daily
- Daily Cashflow
- Payment file checks
- Assist with other finance-related tasks as needed
Desired Skills and Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric / Grade 12 (minimum)
- Relevant certificate, diploma, or degree in Bookkeeping / Accounting (or study towards)
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ work experience in similar role
- Reporting & Documentation – Generate regular reports on asset performance, financials and other relevant metrics
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central will be beneficial
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- IFRS 15 Principles
- Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Computer skills including, the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet, and word-processing programs

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy.

This is a maternity cover position. The successful candidate must be able to start immediately.
