Requirements
- A relevant B Degree
- Appropriate Supervisory experience
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, SAP)

Key Performance Areas
- Assisting the development of policies and strategies
- Providing specialiszed technical input by conducting on-going
research into innovative waste management
solutions to improve service delivery
- Perform regular local and international benchmarking to
identify best practices
- Formulate and implement tender specifications and contract
requirements for implementing new technologies to optimise
waste management services.
- Evaluate and implement service delivery optimisation
systems and procedures to render an equitable, efficient,
effective and enhanced waste management service on
the bases of separating waste streams to ensure
re-use/recycling, alternate waste disposal technologies
and innovative waste management solutions
- Analyse and monitor operational optimisation requirements
(GIS, SAP, tracking technologies), in order to guide and
inform enhancement programs within Urban Waste
Management services,
- Continuously improve alternative service delivery
technologies and methods to optimise efficiency and
reduce environmental impacts.
- To develop and improve waste management services
in the City, guided by the Integrated Waste Management
Policy, Integrated Waste Management Plan and City Waste
Strategy.

liaising with external Consultants, Engineers and
Researchers
