Responsibilities:
- Lead guided food tours, providing captivating and informative commentary about Cape Town's culinary scene, history, and culture.
- Engage and entertain guests, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience.
- Showcase the best local eateries, markets, and hidden culinary gems in Cape Town.
- Provide excellent customer service, catering to the needs and preferences of diverse guests.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants throughout the experience.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously enhance tour itineraries and offerings.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, representing Eat Like a Local with pride.
Requirements:
- A passion for food, culture, and the history of Cape Town.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
- Proven experience in guiding or hospitality roles, preferably in food or culinary tourism.
- Deep knowledge of Cape Town's food scene and local cuisine.
- Ability to engage and connect with diverse groups of guests.
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and punctual.
- Fluent in English, additional language skills are a plus.
- Valid tour guide license.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: R1 300,00 - R2 000,00 per day
