We require a hands-on technician who will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and fault-finding of our production machinery and related equipment. The position will not include the maintenance or repair of the company’s truck fleet, as this is managed through our vehicle rental and service providers.
The successful candidate should preferably have experience or working knowledge of the following equipment:
- Beverage filling and packaging machinery
- PET production equipment
- Fillers, wrappers and unscramblers
- Pumps used for concentrates and water
- Flow meters, compressors and pipe systems
- Conveyors and related production equipment
- General mechanical maintenance and fault-finding
- Basic electrical fault-finding and repairs
The candidate will also be expected to assist with preventative maintenance, respond to machinery breakdowns, identify potential equipment failures and ensure that production equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable working condition.
A mechanical or electrical qualification would be advantageous. However, practical experience in a beverage, food manufacturing, FMCG or similar production environment will also be considered.
The ideal candidate must be reliable, technically competent, safety-conscious and able to work independently while supporting the production team when required.
Pay: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month
