Experienced Payroll Administrator required for one of Valor Hospitality Partners esteemed clients based between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate would be from the hospitality or retail industry with a good understanding of hospitality/retail working hours regarding overtime, night allowance and public holidays. Payroll experience with 400 plus employees.

Full Hospitality & Retail monthly payroll preparation, reconciliation, and payments.

Capturing and creating new employee profiles on Payspace and ERS Biometric clocking system.

Ensure correct linkage of employees to the provident fund scheme and accurate linking of earnings and deduction components.

Process employee terminations, promotions/increases, and leave payouts.

Communicate changes to earnings and deductions to employees.
-
Extract Nett listing reports for reconciliation with Payroll recon report.

Capture all additional earnings and deductions as communicated by the People Manager.

Extract reports for Finance reconciliation of earnings.
-
Reconciliation and submission of employee deductions to Finance Department and third-party service providers.

Upload salaries on Fihrst with each frequency.

Extract reports for 3rd party payments post monthly payroll completion.

Extract pension and provident fund reports for each frequency and reconcile figures for relevant provident funds.

Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports to HR and Finance Departments.

Conduct induction with new starters, loading them on Payspace and ERS clocking system.

Work with H&S to prepare documents for COIDA.

Administer all leave queries, maintain leave history, and ensure accurate leave capture on the system.

Train managers and employees on the leave system and leave capture procedures.

Address all other payroll and system matters.

Process commission, Sundays, overtime, and tips for Hospitality & Retail employees.

Perform other duties as assigned by the People Manager & Managing Director.
Experience Requirement: Working experience (Essential)

3-5 years' extensive experience in the hospitality, retail, and food production sectors.

Experience with ERS biometric clocking system.

Full Payroll System knowledge & experience (PaySpace, ESS), as well as payroll integration with a Time and Attendance system (ERS).

Technologically skilled with competent working knowledge of MS Office (Excel in particular).

In-depth knowledge of all payroll-related taxes (PAYE, SITE, and VAT) and legislation.

Exposure to an HR Administration system.

Able to work independently.
