Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to oversee and coordinate all finishing works on construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all finishing activities are completed to the highest quality standards, within programme, and in accordance with health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all finishing trades on site.
- Manage subcontractors and direct labour.
- Ensure all finishing work complies with project specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Plan and schedule daily finishing activities.
- Monitor progress and report to the Site Agent/Project Manager.
- Conduct quality inspections and compile snag lists.
- Ensure defects are rectified before handover.
- Maintain a safe working environment and enforce health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure sufficient resources are available.
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Finishing Foreman on commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
- Proven experience managing finishing trades such as:
- Bricklaying
- Plastering
- Painting
- Tiling
- Ceilings
- Drywall
- Flooring
- Joinery
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities.
- Good knowledge of South African construction standards and health and safety regulations.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) will be advantageous.

Pay: R45,00 - R85,00 per hour
