We're Hiring: Azure & Active Directory Specialist (Hybrid Identity)

PBCS Consulting South Africa is looking for an experienced Azure & Active Directory Specialist to support large enterprise infrastructure modernization projects across the Eastern Cape.
Many of our client environments have grown organically over time and require stabilization of their Active Directory and hybrid identity infrastructure before implementing advanced cloud, endpoint management, and cybersecurity solutions.
This role focuses on repairing, optimizing, and modernizing Active Directory environments while ensuring stable integration with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
Key Responsibilities
- Stabilize and troubleshoot Active Directory environments
- Resolve domain controller, replication, DNS, and authentication issues
- Restore reliable hybrid identity synchronization via Azure AD Connect
- Clean up AD environments (stale accounts, devices, service accounts, permissions)
- Review and correct Group Policy structures
- Support integration with enterprise platforms including Microsoft Intune, Netwrix, Lansweeper, and Baramundi
- Work with infrastructure teams to prepare identity systems for secure hybrid environments
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 5 years proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Strong expertise in AD replication, DNS, authentication, and hybrid identity
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Azure AD Connect
- Strong PowerShell troubleshooting and automation skills
- Microsoft certifications (Azure / Identity / Windows Server) required
- Verifiable project references are mandatory
