Junior Sales & Marketing Representative (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months)
Workplace Model: Remote (Applicants may be based anywhere in South Africa)
Working Hours: 16:00 – 23:00 | Rotating Schedule: Week 1: Tuesday to Saturday | Week 2: Monday to Friday (Every Second Saturday)
Salary: R5,000 basic per month + R100 commission per successful sale
About the Opportunity
Our client, a growing education services provider, is looking for a motivated and confident Sales & Marketing Representative to join their remote team. This role combines sales, customer engagement, and digital marketing. The successful candidate will communicate with prospective parents, promote tutoring programmes, guide families through the enrolment process, and assist in growing the company's online presence through engaging social media content. Key Responsibilities
- Contact prospective clients by telephone and follow up on new and existing enquiries.
- Proactively engage with prospective parents to introduce and promote the client's tutoring programmes.
- Respond to enquiries via telephone, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
- Build strong relationships with parents and identify their educational needs.
- Present tutoring programmes, explain their benefits, and provide accurate information on available services.
- Address questions and objections professionally while providing excellent customer service.
- Guide prospective clients through the enrolment process and convert enquiries into successful enrolments.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, and follow-up activities.
- Create engaging social media content, including posts and short-form videos, to increase brand awareness and generate new enquiries.
- Represent the client's brand professionally across all communication channels.
- Meet individual sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the business.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- A minimum of 6 months' experience in sales, customer service, telesales, call centre, retail sales, or another customer-facing role.
- Previous experience in an education, sales, or customer service environment will be advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident speaking with prospective clients over the telephone.
- Comfortable appearing in short social media videos and creating online content.
- Good computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Fully operational laptop or desktop computer.
