OVERVIEW
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Logistics and Client Services Coordinator. Our client is a specialist international shipping company focused on transporting classic and vintage vehicles from Europe to North America, managing end-to-end logistics across multiple countries and carriers. This is a full-time, remote position that requires consistent availability during US Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours. The successful candidate will be the operational link between the client's internal logistics processes and its customers, ensuring shipments move on schedule and that clients are kept informed every step of the way. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate looking to build a career in international freight and trade.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Track intermodal shipments across ocean freight, port networks, and overland transport, ensuring accurate status updates at every stage
Prepare, review, and organize customs documentation required for international vehicle imports and exports
Vet and dispatch shipments to carriers, confirming all details are complete and compliant before release
Communicate directly with clients to provide timely shipment updates, address queries, and resolve service issues promptly
Capture and maintain accurate data across the company's transport management software
Coordinate with overseas agents, carriers, and port authorities to resolve delays or discrepancies
Manage general administrative tasks to support the broader operations team as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Matric (Grade 12) is essential; a National Diploma or relevant NQF Level 6 qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous
Fluent written and spoken English with strong business communication ability
Solid computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort learning new software platforms
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
Reliable home office setup with stable internet connectivity to support remote work during EST business hours
A self-directed work ethic with the ability to make sound decisions independently when needed
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Prior experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or international logistics, even at a junior or administrative level
Exposure to customs documentation or import/export procedures, whether locally or internationally focused
Experience in a client-facing or customer service role, particularly in a high-volume or deadline driven environment
Familiarity with transport management systems or freight tracking platforms
