VACANCY: MESSENGER DRIVER (Reference: MS26)
Salpura is looking for a Messenger to join the team in Upington. The incumbent is accountable to safely transport people, documents, and/or goods to and from an assigned area. The incumbent will be required to follow appropriate safety procedures when transporting people, equipment, and/ or documents and adhere to National specific road safety rules and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver packages or messages on time.
- Handle packages and documents with care.
- Maintain records of daily visits in the logbook.
- Confirm deliveries by checking into the office after each delivery.
- Plan efficient routes prior to setting out on a delivery mission.
- Transport products, materials, and staff securely to areas where they are needed.
- Recognize electrical and mechanical faults and report to the manager.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are adhered to.
- Assist with taking out licenses.
- All admin related to a driver/messenger position.

REQUIREMENTS
- Matric or Grade 12 certificate
- A valid code 10 (EC1/EC) driver's license.
- Professional Driver's Permit.
- Own transportation is non-negotiable.
- At least 1 years’ experience in a driving/messenger services environment.
