ROLE PURPOSE
The Skills Development Facilitator will be responsible for the effective planning, delivery, and administration of our Skills Development Programme. The successful candidate will ensure that all learning interventions are delivered in accordance with the relevant SETA requirements, National Qualifications Framework (NQF) standards, and Siseko Technologies' quality management procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, review, and update session plans, facilitator guides, and learner workbooks aligned to the applicable unit standards or qualifications. Facilitate engaging and outcomes-based training sessions, workshops, and practical activities in accordance with the approved programme schedule. Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance registers, learner portfolios, and programme records for every session. Conduct formative and summative assessments and submit results within agreed timelines. Prepare and submit monthly written progress reports to the designated line manager. Liaise with the relevant SETA, registered assessors, and moderators as required. Support learners in compiling their Portfolios of Evidence (PoE) in preparation for formal assessment. Identify learners who require additional support and implement appropriate interventions. Attend internal staff meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the programme.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Training & Development, Human Resources, or a related field (NQF Level 5 or higher).
Facilitation and/or Assessor qualification registered with the relevant SETA
(e.g. UnitStandard 117871 — Facilitate Learning).
A valid SETA accreditation or registration as a Facilitator will be a strong advantage. Experience
Minimum 2 (two) years' experience in facilitating accredited training or skills development programmes.
Demonstrable experience working within a SETA-funded or learnership environment. Experience in maintaining SETA compliance documentation and learner records.Knowledge & Skills Sound knowledge of the South African National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and Skills Development legislation.
Understanding of the Skills Development Act, Skills Development Levies Act, and SETA processes.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to adapt facilitation style to diverse groups of learners.
Strong administrative and organisational skills with attention to detail. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Passionate about skills development and learner empowerment.
