Schullpak is looking for a motivated and reliable Laser Cutting & CNC Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. We are seeking an individual with experience in sheet metal fabrication who takes pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate CNC laser cutting machines.
· Operate CNC press brake machines.
· Read and interpret engineering drawings.
· Load programs and make machine adjustments.
· Select correct tooling.
· Set up jobs independently.
· Measure and inspect finished parts.
· Perform quality control checks.
· Maintain production records.
· Perform routine machine maintenance.
· Keep work area clean and organized.
· Follow health and safety procedures.
· Meet production deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
· Minimum 2 years of experience with CNC Laser Cutting and CNC Bending Machines
· Experience with sheet metal fabrication.
· Experience operating CNC laser cutters.
· Experience operating CNC press brakes.
· Ability to read technical drawings.
· Ability to use measuring instruments:
o Vernier calipers
o Micrometers
o Tape measures
o Angle gauges
· Knowledge of tolerances.
· Experience with different material types:
o Mild steel
o Stainless steel
o Aluminium
Preferred Qualifications
· Trade qualification in engineering or fabrication.
· CNC programming experience.
· Forklift licence (if applicable).
· Basic maintenance knowledge.
Advantageous Experience
- Experience with fibre laser cutting and press brake machines.
- Experience programming or editing CNC machine programs.
- Experience with fibre laser tube cutting machines.
- Forklift licence.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Knowledge of nesting and design software.
