About the Role:
We are looking for a disciplined, alert, and reliable CCTV Monitoring Controller to join our control room team.
This is a high-focus role requiring sustained attention, quick decision-making, and a strong sense of responsibility. You will be expected to remain vigilant throughout your shift, identify risks early, and respond appropriately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor live CCTV feeds continuously
- Detect and escalate suspicious activity promptly
- Dispatch response teams with accurate information
- Maintain detailed incident logs and reports
- Communicate professionally with clients and response units
- Follow established control room procedures
Minimum Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Valid PSIRA registration
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Basic computer literacy
- Able to work a 4-on / 4-off shift cycle consistently
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Ability to remain focused for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent work ethic
- Comfortable working in a structured, rules-based environment
- Able to handle pressure and respond calmly in urgent situations
- Applicants must reside within a 10km radius of Plumstead or have reliable transport to consistently arrive on time for 06:00 shifts & 18:00 shifts.
Advantageous:
- Previous CCTV / control room experience
- Experience with Hikvision, Dahua, or similar systems
