To coordinate and manage all requests for charity, sponsorships, and community-based initiatives through the Bank’s charitable and welfare funds regionally, in order to promote the Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility objectives and uplift disadvantaged communities through education, healthcare, skills development, and poverty alleviation.
The role also includes assisting the Marketing Department from a strategic and operational perspective, including content creation, copywriting, campaign coordination, and digital marketing support.
Furthermore, the incumbent will be responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of loyalty programme initiatives, the management and promotion of the Giving for Hope Foundation and related initiatives, as well as supporting B-BBEE administration and compliance functions within the Marketing and Social Responsibility Department.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Research, Engagement & Administration
- Assess sponsorship and charity requests and conduct detailed background and compliance checks on applicants.
- Engage and communicate with applicants, beneficiaries, suppliers, and stakeholders professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with the preparation and administration of social responsibility initiatives and community projects.
- Conduct research into community development opportunities, loyalty programme initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
Reporting, Proposals & Strategy Support
- Prepare detailed reports, proposals, recommendation packs, and submissions for committee and management review.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly Executive Committee (Exco) reports.
- Provide administrative and strategic support from a marketing and communications perspective on all CSR and sponsorship initiatives.
- Assist with marketing strategy input and campaign planning for social responsibility and loyalty programme initiatives.
Loyalty Programme Development & Management
- Assist in the development, implementation, coordination, and ongoing management of loyalty programmes and related campaigns.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to improve loyalty offerings and customer engagement.
- Monitor programme performance and provide recommendations for improvements and growth.
Content Creation, Digital Marketing & Communication
- Assist to create engaging content for digital platforms, internal communication, and marketing campaigns.
- Assist with copywriting for media releases, social media content, presentations, reports, and promotional material.
- Support the Marketing Department with digital marketing initiatives and campaign execution.
Project Management & Event Coordination
- Coordinate sponsorship and CSR projects from planning through to implementation and reporting.
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution of initiatives and events.
- Process payments, maintain records, and ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
Meetings, Governance & Compliance
- Prepare documentation and supporting information for meetings and committee reviews.
- Attend internal and external meetings and follow up on action items and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements and collaborate with the Shariah Audit team where required.
- Assist with the administration and coordination of B-BBEE requirements relating to the Marketing and Social Responsibility Department.
- Manage supplier BEE certification records and support transformation and economic empowerment initiatives.
Giving for Hope Programme
- Assist with the management and administration of the charity loan programme.
- Monitor payments, maintain accurate records, and coordinate the handover of late payment matters to attorneys where necessary.
- Facilitate the capturing and reconciliation of loan payments and related documentation.
