Role Overview and Responsibilities

- They assist in tracking progress against ESG key performance indicators.
- The role involves research on best practices, sector trends, and benchmarking.
- They help coordinate sustainability projects, campaigns, and internal communication efforts.
Data Management and Reporting
- The intern gathers and validates ESG data across departments.
- They maintain databases and assist in preparing sustainability reports.
- Ensuring compliance with reporting standards like GRI, SASB, and SDGs is part of their tasks.
- They organize documentation for audits and support data accuracy.
Research, Analysis, and Development
- Conduct research on sustainability innovations and policies.
- Analyze peer ESG performance for benchmarking.
- Summarize environmental regulations and identify impact reduction opportunities.
- Contribute to internal knowledge resources and sustainability tools.
Project and Stakeholder Engagement
- Support the execution of sustainability projects and awareness campaigns.
- Assist in engaging suppliers and stakeholders for sustainability practices.
- Maintain records of interactions and sustainability-related information.
- Participate in stakeholder activities and surveys.
Communication, Training, and Internal Engagement
- Develop internal communication materials like infographics and newsletters.
- Promote sustainability awareness among staff.
- Support engagement activities such as green campaigns and sustainability days.
- Collaborate with departments to foster sustainable behaviors.
Waste, Energy, and Resource Efficiency
- Monitor data on energy, water, and waste usage.
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Conduct basic audits and track environmental initiative progress.
- Support implementation of environmental action plans.
Administrative Support and SOP Compliance
- Provide general support to the sustainability team.
- Schedule meetings, organize documentation, and take meeting notes.
- Follow and support adherence to SOPs related to sustainability.
- Assist in updating procedures and promoting compliance culture.
Skills, Education, and Working Conditions
- Requires a diploma or bachelor’s in relevant fields with basic ESG knowledge.
- No formal experience needed but interest in sustainability is essential.
- The role involves office and factory environments, travel, and occasional overtime.
- The reporting line is to the Group Internal Auditor.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have own transport
- 3 years auditing experience
- Must have an internal audit qualification
- Environmental auditing - will be an advantage
