PURPOSE:
- To translate business needs into detailed business requirements, functional and process, data, people, and workflow specifications and identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
- The primary responsibility involves analysing the existing systems (hardware, software, and processes) within an organization and identifying areas for improvement or optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including end-users, management, and IT professionals, to understand their needs and requirements for new or enhanced systems.
- Develop specifications, flowcharts, diagrams, and other documentation to illustrate proposed solutions and system functionalities.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, and other IT professionals during the implementation phase to ensure that the designed solutions are effectively deployed and integrated into existing systems.
- Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate the adoption of new systems and ensure smooth transition and ongoing usability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc Information Technology (Essential/Minimum or)
- B Degree (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum)
- Certificate First Line Management (Recommended/Desirable)
EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years Relevant Business process and Business analysis (Information Management) experience. Demonstrate ability to translate business requirements to improved processes across the business. (Essential/Minimum) Operational

Best Practice and Knowledge Management
- Identify and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve systems and processes by extracting information and compiling new reports and or existing standard reports on best practice systems and processes to identify and meet organisational needs.
- Build relationships across Information Management (IM) stakeholders by sharing business information and knowledge
Business Analysis
- Liaise with Solution Architect to ensure best practice solutions are implemented
- Work with business and Solution Architects to identify functional and technical requirements
- Transition requirements and use cases to Solution Architects and ensure clear understanding of business requirements exists.
- Contribute to preparation of testing scripts and materials, perform unit system and integrated testing tasks
- Work with training team to develop application specific training materials
Business Operations
- Document business requirements
- Identify gaps between new and existing business processes and applications and liaise with Solution Architects for resolution
- Support project team members with systems knowledge, define test packs and drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Ensure business requirements are met throughout project execution
- Value realization through information exploitation
- Resolve systems issues to maximize Information Technology (IT) systems investments
- Identify and mitigate Information Communication Technology (ICT) business risks
- Provide formal and informal training to users
- Manage multiple operational priorities from business and impact of systems down-time
Compliance, Governance and Assurance
- Communicate solution standards
- Assist with quality assurance for solution provision services within solution area
- Adhere to Governance and compliance processes and procedures
Customer and Client Relationship Management
- Develop and build business partnerships and identification of IM opportunities for business value or service enhancement
- Establish strong relationships with internal IM teams
- Understand all relevant supported business processes with regards to the outcome and success indicators of these processes as well as interdependencies within these processes
- Understand the Enterprise Architecture impact on the relevant solution design and the resulting impact on service delivery and the Service Level Agreements
Functional Excellence
- Adhere to functional policies, standards, guidelines, procedures, end- to-end processes, tools, templates etc.
- Assist in standardising, simplifying and speeding-up functional processes, eliminating duplication/bureaucracy
- Apply functional best practices, promote sharing of best practices/ knowledge

- Governance: Ensure function adheres to governance, policies, standards, statutory and legal compliance. Entrench a culture of discipline.
- Coordinate functional/cross-functional activities to ensure functional alignment
