- PhD OR MSc plus a minimum of five (5) years working experience with extensive publications Veterinary Virology, Molecular Biology, Diagnostic Development Research, Life Sciences or related disciplines.
- Knowledge and experience in molecular and serological techniques is required.
- A track record of publications, supervising MSc and PhD students and obtaining research funding will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge in virology and immunology is important.
- Knowledge in developing improved diagnostic assays and vaccines through genetic engineering will be an added advantage.
