As the Head of Education for Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), you'll be responsible for developing trusted relationships with Ministries of Education and external stakeholders such as UNICEF, World Bank and GPE, developing a healthy distribution network and an ecosystem of Professional Development partners, Google Certified Educators and Google Educator Groups (GEGs) among others. Positioning Google for Education for long-term, sustainable growth in the Region and capturing early stage business opportunities where appropriate. You will build awareness of Google's product offering through engagement at all levels, from national to local educators, public and private schools. You'll also work closely to support, develop and onboard Sub-Saharan Africa partners to achieve our go to market goals. Additionally, you will also work with many internal teams such as the Sales Engineering, Product, Marketing and Public Policy teams to align on long term strategy and short term execution. You'll be responsible to coordinate with all the relevant teams to launch or make available our solutions locally when needed, to support localization if not available and to create business cases to gather more support in order to grow.
You're a self-driven and motivated go to market lead for the Sub-Saharan Africa region, with an initial focus on South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana. Working across SSA you will be responsible for expanding the presence of Google for Education across the region, driving adoption and usage of Google for Education’s solutions such as Google Workspace for Education and Chromebooks, and being the presence of the Education team publicly.
