Village N Life's Marketing department is recruiting a Social Media Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Camps Bay. Village N Life is a leading Tourism and Property Development company.

As a Social Media Coordinator, you must be comfortable with developing insights and you will play a key role in the managing/creating copy and content across various channels and platforms. The content you produce must grow brand awareness, stoke engagement and enhance brand perception through a solid command of the best digital practices and technologies. This position requires a candidate withs strong planning / coordinating, communication and writing skills, with a good understanding of product and marketing as well as social media content, and the role it plays in the organisation.
This is a full time, on-site position.
We are not looking for an influencer, we have our own very large following.
Minimum Requirements

Diploma / Degree in Marketing/Communications/Brand Management or relevant

At least 2 years experience in a similar role (marketing, advertising and/or digital marketing

Interest in marketing, especially social, content and digital marketing

Good understanding of social media channels, communities and analysis of behaviour

Ability to tie creative thinking and overall strategic and brand objectives

Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

Experience in the Hospitality industry advantageous
Duties and Responsibilities

Ongoing content management and coordination
-
Assess the various platforms - social media pages and websites

Propose ideas and plans for the content of various platforms on an ongoing basis

Liaise with various departments to gather content and design elements to carry out the content plan

Implement, monitor and maintain plans

Pull reports and obtain community insights and trends, in order to develop strategic content

Understanding the digital channel mix and knowing what content is suitable for which channels

Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns

Reporting on campaigns and competitor activity

Idea generation

Maintain an active knowledge of industry and digital marketing trends

Expert in the main social media tools and channels with a cutting-edge interest in new trends and releases

Assist digital marketing manager with reporting, events, production/content shoot planning and influencer management
