Fortinet Design Engineering Lead (LAN/WLAN)

We are seeking a senior Design Engineering resource to lead the design and delivery of a Fortinet-based LAN/WLAN solution as part of a global transformation and managed service engagement. This role will be critical in shaping Day-1 architecture and ensuring a robust, scalable design that transitions effectively into Day-2 operations.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end design of Fortinet LAN/WLAN solutions across enterprise environments- Produce high and low-level designs (HLD/LLD) aligned to customer requirements and best practice
- Lead technical governance, design authority, and solution assurance activities
- Support transformation delivery, including remote design and onsite implementation guidance
- Work closely with Project Management, GNOC, and Service Delivery teams to ensure seamless transition into BAU
- Provide technical leadership for IMACD, optimisation, and continuous improvement activities
- Engage with stakeholders (internal and customer) to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Qualifications:
Core Skills & Experience:
Proven experience designing and implementing Fortinet LAN/WLAN solutions (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP)- Strong understanding of enterprise networking (routing, switching, security, SD-WAN)
- Experience operating in global managed service environments
- Ability to operate as a design authority and make architectural decisions
- Strong documentation skills (HLD/LLD, standards, governance artefacts)
- Experience supporting transition from project (Day-1) into managed services (Day-2)
Desirable:
- Fortinet certifications (e.g. NSE4–NSE7 or equivalent)
- Experience working within multi-vendor environments
- Exposure to global delivery models and distributed engineering teams
