Looking to hire an experienced and qualified Executive Chef / Catering Manager for an upmarket retirement estate. This is a Monday to Sunday operation. Scheduled 5 days on and 2 days off. Working hours: 6am to 3pm and 11am to 7pm
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with a culinary qualification
- 5 years working experience in upmarket hotels or restaurants
- 2 years minimum Executive Chef experience
- Sound food costing and understanding of GPs, profit and loss.
- Fully Computer Literate
- Own transport
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Managing the food service operation for the unit
- Overseeing, directing and guiding kitchen and front of house staff
- Overseeing all Admin Related work
- HR/IR related work
- Stock controlling
- Daily Finance & Banking
- Client Debtors / Creditors
- Health & Safety
- Menu design and innovation
