Advisor Channel Sales Manager

Purpose
Responsibility and accountability for executing advisor contract management, advisor relationship management, acquisition of new advisors as well as new corporates, advisor consultant management and advisor support management for the Company to be positioned as the Company of choice for the advisor channel and prospective clients. To implement effective strategies that will continuously enhance the Company advisor channel value proposition to ensure the growth and retention of Company’s membership. To ensure that all activities are in line with the regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
· Implement and manage a advisor relationship strategy and plan to build long-term relationships and retain advisors. Introduce Company to Executives Management at advisors/brokerages and potential new groups for the acquisition of new business.
· Initiate processes and initiatives to improve advisor service delivery and the advisor value proposition.
· Liaise with advisor support team ensure effective service delivery via the contact center.
· Manage the annual advisor events plan to ensure maximum engagement opportunities with the advisor channel.
· Initiate events and co-branding initiatives to ensure maximum exposure for the Company Reach sales targets set
· Ensure that advisor contract adheres to CMS guidelines.
· Ensure that CMS/FSB checks are followed.
· Ensure that contracts are kept safe and accessible at all times.
· Ensure that advisors are notified of contract progress. Implement processes and procedures to improve service delivery and fast turn-around times on applications. Ensure clean internal audit results and address any issues raised timeously.
· Ensure that collateral is available and ordered timeously. Manage corporate gifts and entertainment expenses per business consultant to ensure availability and effective use of resources. Report on entertainment expenses on a monthly basis. Ensure that stock counts are done twice annually.
· Implement processes to ensure that new advisors are inducted and trained.
· Manage the performance of BC's to ensure advisors produce new business. Manage advisor terminations per business consultant.
· Develop customised documents for the Sales team which positions the Company and its offering, including competitive comparisons. Develop and manage the required templates e.g. presentations, letters, etc. to ensure high levels of professionalism. Audit business consultants to ensure use of the correct templates.
· Create a High Performance Culture within the team, with the focus on retaining High performing team members
· Execute all business management processes timeously.
· Staff recruitment aligned to company targets
· Conduct performance management and interventions.
· Apply disciplinary management in fair and consistent manner.
· Ensure weekly and monthly meetings on departmental progress, challenges and opportunities.
· Maintain positive staff morale.
· Contribute to strategic insights and industry related proposals to Executive Management.
· Provide accurate departmental reporting to the Executive Management on a monthly basis or as required. Monthly reporting on acquisitions and terminations with explanations for deviations.
· Management of departmental finances within budget.
· Broker commission management together with the Finance department.
· Ensure procurement processes are executed within approved processes and policies.
· Ensure continuous liaison with Technical Marketer to ensure the advisor sales team are equipped with knowledge about competitors
Requirements
· Minimum 8 years in the financial services industry in a Sales, Distribution, Business Development, Relationship Management and/or Marketing role
· Minimum 5 years management experience
· Grade 12 with Mathematics or Maths Literacy (Mathematics on a symbol E or higher. Maths Literacy on a symbol C or higher)
· Bachelors degree (Bachelors Degree in Marketing/Sales or equivalent)
· Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
