To provide underwriting & claims assistance to the Advisers on personal lines insurance.
- Liaising with clients and advisers
- Preparing quotations
- Issuing new policies, renewals, and endorsements
- Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Recording details and information on the relevant systems
- General Administration – effectively deal with all facets of Personal lines underwriting & claims
- Good understanding of general short-term insurance procedures and claims procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- All Personal Lines underwriting – renewals, endorsements, quotes, new business, re-broking, complete compliance process. Making sure all covers are laid off before end of business day.
- All Personal Lines claims : from start to finish.
- Communicating & interacting with clients professionally throughout both processes above for underwriting and claims.
- Grade 12
- NQF Level 4 – Full qualification (short term insurance)
- RE5 successfully completed
- Minimum 5 years’ short-term personal lines experience
- Computer literate – MS Office, Email, Internet
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good administration skills
- Planning and organising skills
- Time management skills
- Resilient with a good level of stress tolerance
- Problem solving skills
- Meet deadlines
- Excellent time management skills
- Be highly motivated to succeed, passionate about customer service and ability to work under pressure
- Keep effective diary system
- Attend training sessions as may be required
