This is a deliberately built launchpad into our Senior Consultant role and one of the most varied jobs you'll find this early in a career. Some weeks you'll own a project end-to-end: scoping it, running it, delivering it, with mentoring close at hand. Other weeks you'll be the analytical engine behind one of PE's more complex, multi-entity initiatives which includes but not limited too; researching, drafting, coordinating stakeholders, capturing the decisions made in the room. You'll move across strategy, measurement, and change management, often starting a new project with limited context and getting up to speed fast - which is exactly the kind of range top consulting and professional services graduates thrive on.
We're looking for someone with the instincts of a top consultant which sharp, structured, comfortable with ambiguity and who wants to build those muscles in service of something bigger.
Own delivery - run smaller improvement projects end-to-end, with close mentoring from the Lead of PE.
Power complex initiatives - produce the research, analysis, and draft materials that let senior colleagues lead multi-stakeholder change.
Write & synthesise - produce sharp reports, briefings, and workshop materials that shape real decisions.
Coordinate & engage - track projects, capture meetings, and help manage entity Champions and stakeholders.
Grow fast - take on progressively more complex work along a clear pathway toward the Consultant role.
A relevant degree with a strong academic record; an internship, graduate programme, or 1-3 years in consulting, strategy, or professional services is a strong plus
Sharp analytical and writing skills, and evidence you can manage your own work reliably under time pressure
Meticulous planning and organising skills
The curiosity to ask good questions, and the hunger to learn fast on real, high-stakes work
Genuine motivation to build a career in service of long-term impact in Africa
