Import Administrator and Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing all import-related activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, optimizing operational efficiency, and maintaining accurate records of international shipments. This role supports the business by coordinating logistics, monitoring bonded warehouse movements, and controlling import documentation and duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Monitor bonded warehouse stock, ensuring timely extraction aligned with cost and duty considerations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs officials, and suppliers to ensure smooth clearance and delivery.
- Track shipments and maintain accurate records of import duties, tariffs, and compliance requirements.
- Implement internal controls and guidelines for import operations to minimize costs and risks.
- Prepare reports on import activities, costs, and compliance status for management review.
- Ensure adherence to local and international trade regulations.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, bonded warehouse procedures, and import compliance.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems for tracking and reporting.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
