A luxury farm & retreat / hotel seeks a Financial Assistant to join the team.
Relevant Skills / Experience

At least 3 years’ experience as Creditors Clerk and / or Financial Assistant.

Financial qualification is preferred.

Experience within the hospitality industry will be advantageous, as well as exposure to hospitality booking systems.

Working knowledge of stock management and asset register maintenance.

Prior experience with insurance claims is advantageous.

Excellent spoken and written English, highly presentable, confident and excellent attention to detail.

Excellent telephone etiquette and clear, consistent communication skills.

Own vehicle and a valid driver’s license compulsory.
We are looking for an extremely organized person, with a high work ethic to join the family as an all-round Financial Assistant.
You will be responsible for the full creditors function, including invoice capturing (Xero), creditor reporting, payment authorizations and loading payments onto the banking system.
You will oversee stock ordering and receipts, receiving and doing quality control of the stock as well as managing stock on the accounting system.
A small shop exists on the Farm, for which you will be responsible as well – sales and stock reconciliation. Other responsibilities involve Petty cash management, assisting with insurance claims, capturing payroll hours on excel, ordering stationery and maintaining fixed asset registers.
Experience in dealing with DMC’s, travel agents and tour operators including an understanding of rates and commissions structures is important.
Systems Used: Xero and Microsoft (very strong Excel skills especially) Room Raccoon, Travel Click / iHotelier, Peach Payments
This role will include office and administrative functions, as well as reception and switchboard responsibilities.
