QC Clerk
Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised QC Clerk to join our Quality Control team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Quality Control function, maintaining accurate quality records and documentation, and assisting with the monitoring and reporting of quality-related activities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Quality Control records and documentation.
- Capture and maintain quality-related data accurately.
- Assist with the preparation and completion of quality control reports, checklists, and documentation.
- Ensure that all QC documentation is completed accurately and filed correctly.
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining quality control records for incoming materials, production processes, and finished products.
- Record and report quality deviations, non-conformances, and other quality-related issues.
- Liaise with the Quality Control, Production, Warehouse, and other relevant departments regarding quality-related queries and documentation.
- Assist with the investigation and follow-up of quality-related issues and discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for inspection records, reports, certificates, and other supporting documentation.
- Assist with internal and external audits by ensuring that required documentation and records are readily available.
- Monitor outstanding quality documentation and follow up with relevant departments where required.
- Assist with the preparation of quality-related reports and statistics.
- Ensure that all quality records are maintained in accordance with company procedures and applicable standards.
- Provide general administrative support to the Quality Control department.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Relevant qualification in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Food Technology, Administration, or a related field will be advantageous.
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or similar administrative role.
- Previous experience within an FMCG, manufacturing, food production, or packing environment would be advantageous.
- Experience with quality control documentation and record-keeping.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with data capturing and reporting.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards will be advantageous.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
