Junior Credit Controller

JOB PURPOSE:
You will be responsible for managing your own small portfolio of accounts to recover all outstanding funds owed by leaseholders, as well as performing all related duties to achieve this. A junior will also assist a senior credit controller as needed
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Learn the collection process and how to manage own portfolio.
- Looking after the administrative duties for your own portfolio of accounts.
- Answering general requests from Clients via phone calls and emails for own portfolio and for your senior.
- Escalating issues to the Property Managers as needed.
- Agreeing to set up monthly payment plans with Clients for own portfolio and for your senior as requested.
- Escalating payment plans that are not being followed correctly with your senior.
- Maintaining up-to-date information on Blocks Online.
- Discussing and receiving advise your senior to add admin charges to the accounts.
- Requesting approval from the Team leader on which accounts need to be passed to the solicitors and request from the PM to get the approval from Directors.
- Calling Leaseholders who needs to be passed to solicitors.
- Discussing your portfolio and the arrears with your senior on a monthly basis.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven work experience as a Credit Control Administrator in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work to strict deadlines and be organised.
- Willingness to learn about the credit control collection process and being able to apply those skills in their day-to-day duties.

- Have excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written including drafting correspondence and documents).
- Be computer literate (Demonstratable experience and ability to use ICT packages i.e., Microsoft Word and Excel) To also ensure you have good internet connection.
- Understand and commit to good customer care.
- Be pragmatic, creative and an effective problem-solver, with emphasis on fast and practical solutions.

BENEFITS:
Working hours: 09:00 to 18:00 SAST, Monday – Friday
Salary: R16 000pm DOE
Leave: 15 days holiday (plus public holidays).
Contract: Permanent
Note: This role requires occasional office visits, so candidates should be based in or near Cape Town. Reliable internet access during working hours and periods of extended load shedding is essential.
