Safari JOBS is searching for a Waiter for a very busy, well-established, premier 5* restaurant situated in a breath-taking area of Stellenbosch.
The Waiter is responsible for providing excellent service to ensure great customer satisfaction.
Our client is searching for someone who will have the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role.
Due to the live-out nature of this position our client can only consider applications from Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek, Somerset-West, and the Northern Suburbs.

Clear criminal record and excellent employment track record
Grade 12
Minimum 1 to 3 years previous waiter/waitress experience in a high end restaurant environment
Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information systems
Reliable transport, preferably own but not mandatory
Basic knowledge of wine & surrounding wine regions
Basic mathematical skills
Must be well-presented
Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele

Greet guests at assigned tables and ensure each guest has received a menu and wine list;
Know all items on the menu and the basic ingredients and method of preparation of each;
Ensure tables are set with linen, silverware and glasses;
Take accurate food and drink orders using the Point-of-Sale system, and deliver within the specified time limits;
Ensure that all orders are received timeously by bar and kitchen staff;
Clear all dirty cutlery and crockery from the table once guests have finished using them;
Offers desserts and coffee to guests;
Bill the guests correctly;
Ensure restaurant area, fixtures and fittings are clean and hygienic;
Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance;
Ensure that your uniform is clean at all times
