SENIOR ASSISTANT FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGER – SANDTON – R32 000PM
We are currently recruiting for an experienced SENIOR ASSISTANT FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER for an upmarket Hotel in Sandton to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of all the F&B outlets and employees as well as ensure guest satisfaction.
Supporting and aiding the Food & Beverage Manager in achieving the profitability of the F&B outlets.
Minimum Experience and Qualification Required:
- Grade 12
- Post matric hotel school qualification would be advantageous
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a 5-star hotel restaurant or similar environment
- Computer literacy
- Good understanding of the micros point of sale system
- Previous leadership role
- Excellent communication skills
- Good numeracy skills
- Good wine knowledge
- High level of English proficiency
- Ability to plan
- Ability to train and develop a team
- Must be motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic
- Must be a team player, with a positive attitude
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Own transport preferable
Key Performance Objectives:
- Lead By Example
- Plan, forecast and execute food and beverage orders
- Managing Of Stock (Beverage & OE)
- Process customer complaints patiently
- Check food and beverage supplies and place orders when needed
- Communicate and build strong relationships with vendors
- Adhere to food, health, and safety standards
- Plan, hire, train, oversee and manage the members of staff
- Oversee and supervise the welcoming of customers
- Always strive towards an exceptional customer experience
- Organize, direct, and evaluate food and beverage service.
- Performance management: monitor staff performance and provide feedback.
- Purchase and control of inventory.
- Monitor revenues and expenses.
- Oversee all events (Booking, Planning & Co-Ordinating)
- Oversee the daily operations of all F&B Outlets
- Strong organizational skills / Work Well Under Pressure
