The SHEQ Sales Intern is responsible for promoting and selling the iSHEQ's training, consulting and business services. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, generate leads, conduct client visits, build relationships with prospective clients, prepare quotations, support marketing initiatives and contribute to the growth of the organisation.
This internship provides practical experience in business development, sales, marketing and customer relationship management while contributing directly to the growth and profitability of the iSHEQ Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote the iSHEQ's consulting, training and agricultural services.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities.
- Conduct field visits to prospective and existing clients around Gauteng and nationwide.
- Cold emailing and calling.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Follow up on enquiries and convert leads into sales.
- Assist in preparing quotations, proposals and service agreements.
- Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Represent the company at networking events, exhibitions and promotional activities where required.
- Maintain an accurate database of prospects and clients.
- Prepare weekly sales activity and pipeline reports.
- Achieve agreed sales and business development targets.
- Assist with student recruitment and promote AgriScience Institute programmes.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
- Perform any administrative duties assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office 365.
- Confidence in approaching and engaging prospective clients.
- Willingness to travel and work both in the office and in the field with and without supervision.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
Preferred Requirements
- Valid South African driver's licence.
- Own reliable transport will be an advantage.
- Ability to communicate in English and one or more South African languages.
- Previous sales, customer service or marketing experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of SHEQ, training or consulting services will be an added advantage.

Remuneration
- Monthly Stipend: R4,000.00
- Eligible for the iSHEQ's performance based commission programme. Commission is paid on approved business generated in accordance with the company's commission policy. The applicable commission structure will be discussed during the interview process and upon appointment.
Pay: R4 000,00 per hour
