A KZN-based endangered species conservation organisation is looking for a skilled, self-directed digital marketer to own social media, paid advertising, and CRM across our conservation and volunteer programmes.
You will be responsible for day-to-day execution across Wildlife ACT's social platforms, paid campaigns, and email and CRM activity, working directly with the Marketing, Media and Impact Director and our external digital agency. You will manage multiple platforms simultaneously, contribute to campaign strategy, and produce content that reflects the credibility and depth of Wildlife ACT's conservation work. A genuine interest in wildlife and conservation is essential.

Social Media & Copy:
- Create, schedule, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Youtube, and X.
- Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers, comments, and messages.
- Build and nurture online communities.
- Write social media captions, short-form copy, and blog content that is accurate, and consistent with tone of voice.
- Track performance through reporting.
Digital Marketing:
- Plan, set up, optimise, and report on paid social campaigns.
- Manage campaigns end-to-end.
- Support lead generation activity and contribute to conversion-focused campaign strategy.
- Coordinate on paid media execution.
- Produce or contribute to content across multiple formats.
- Support PR activity.
CRM & Conversions
- Own the segmentation, build, and delivery of email campaigns.
- Manage and develop automated CRM journeys.
- Track performance metrics to improve future campaigns.
- Support lead-to-conversion campaign strategies.
- Understand the customer journey and AI optimisation options.
- Contribute to lead generation campaigns across channels.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or similar
- Min 3 to 5 years experience in digital or social media marketing
- Demonstrated paid social advertising experience
- Experience managing social accounts on behalf of a brand
- CRM and email marketing campaign experience
- Excellent written English; published work examples preferred
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite, Canva, Mailchimp
- Strong analytical capability and comfort with performance data
- Valid driver's licence
- South African citizen
- Familiarity with AI tools
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
- Experience in CRM or customer growth roles
- Google Analytics, CapCut, or Adobe Creative Suite experience
- SEO knowledge and digital discoverability
- Previous experience in conservation, ecotourism, or hospitality
- Ability to develop factually grounded content on conservation and ecology topics
- Experience marketing for a brand with a large, international audience
- WordPress or similar CMS publishing experience
