About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Sales Representative to join our team. This position combines front-line sales, customer service, and cashier responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions accurately, maintaining product displays, and contributing to sales growth while ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable products.
- Process cash, card, and electronic transactions accurately.
- Balance and reconcile the cash register at the end of each shift.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked sales floor.
- Assist with merchandising, stock control, and stock counts.
- Receive, unpack, and display incoming stock.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and returns professionally.
- Promote current specials, promotions, and new products.
- Meet individual and team sales targets.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and security requirements.
- Assist with general store duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Previous retail sales and/or cashier experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic numerical and cash-handling abilities.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
- Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts when required.
- Computer literacy and point-of-sale (POS) experience will be advantageous.
