Why This Role Matters
Zinia is seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to support one of our enterprise clients on a six-month fixed-term engagement.
This role is responsible for protecting and strengthening the client's network security environment by implementing, maintaining, and optimising enterprise security solutions. The successful candidate will improve the resilience, stability, and security of critical infrastructure while supporting secure connectivity, proactive threat management, and knowledge sharing with the client's internal teams.

Role Overview
The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise network security solutions across a complex infrastructure environment.
The role includes responsibility for:
- Network security administration
- Threat prevention and monitoring

Key Responsibilities
Network Security Administration
Implement, configure, and maintain enterprise firewall and network security environments while ensuring secure connectivity, policy management, and network segmentation across the client's infrastructure.
Threat Prevention & Monitoring
Monitor and optimise network security technologies, investigate security incidents, perform vulnerability remediation, and strengthen the client's overall security posture.
Network Operations
Support the ongoing availability and performance of network security infrastructure through proactive monitoring, firmware upgrades, maintenance, and incident resolution.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain accurate technical documentation, network diagrams, operational procedures, and security records while ensuring compliance with organisational security standards and audit requirements.
Collaboration
Work closely with the client's infrastructure and technical teams to deliver secure, reliable, and resilient network services while contributing to infrastructure improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing.

Requirements
Essential
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in enterprise network security.
- At least 2 years' experience supporting Huawei firewall technologies.
- Experience administering Cisco, Fortinet, or Palo Alto security solutions.
- Experience supporting enterprise networking and cybersecurity environments.
Technical Skills
Strong experience with:
- Huawei Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
- Cisco, Fortinet or Palo Alto Firewalls
- VPN Technologies (IPsec & SSL)
- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN)
- Network Monitoring Platforms
