Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of marketing strategies for AFGRI Grain management to ensure maximum profitability and growth – always aligned with the Vision and Values of the Groups.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING
- B Com or BSC or equivalent qualification
REQUIRED MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
- 8 years experience as a Grain Trader
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Develop, deploy, coordinate, and manage the overall Grain Marketing Strategy in alignment with sales budgets and targets, ensuring business growth and expansion.
- Develop, deploy, coordinate, and manage the overall Grain Procurement Strategy in alignment with procurement budgets and targets, ensuring business growth and expansion.
- Coordinate the entire sell and procure value chain, including primary sales (marketing grain on behalf of producers) and secondary sales (buying grain from local suppliers for market trade).
- Develop internal and external networks to optimise grain purchases and manage grain price bids from off-takers.
- Collaborate with Logistics to ensure seamless service delivery where required by clients, embodying the One-AFGRI approach.
- Execute mandates for buying and selling grain to off-takers and manage purchase premiums on mandated contracts from off-takers.
- Oversee grain price management by supervising bids from off-takers and handling day-to-day marketing.
- Set and achieve sales targets, and plan marketing initiatives aligned with the business unit's goals.
- Market maize, sunflower, soybeans, and wheat to existing customers.
- Establish AFGRI Grain Management as a respected Grain Trading Company through effective marketing strategies and relationship-building initiatives. Network with market role players to expand the client base and attend industry forums to market AFGRI products.
- Manage the Trader team within Grain Management, ensuring all team members understand their roles and are utilised and developed according to their strengths.
