Account Manager Position, Cape Town
Magna Carta Reputation Management Consultants Cape Town (part of the TBWA\ network), one of South Africa's most award-winning and established PR firms, is looking for an Account Manager to join our Consumer PR Team.

This is an in-office job with some flexibility. This is not a remote working vacancy. Magna Carta Cape Town is based in Woodstock.
You need to demonstrate a can-do attitude and have a passion for excellence.
Key attributes
- A self-starter and independent worker.
- Highly organised and attentive to small details.
- Curious (loves to learn, broad general knowledge and love for social media and PR).
- Must be able to write content – short form and long form (social media copy, press releases, etc).
- Would be described as a strong communicator, highly collaborative and considers themselves a team player.
- Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PPT etc; and
- Must be willing to travel (ad-hoc as required).
Tasks /Responsibilities
- Brainstorm and research fresh ideas for PR campaigns.
- Manage content creators/influencers and proof content.
- Pack goodie bags and organise media drops.
- Organise and assist with events and promotions.
- Write media briefs, press releases and social media content plans.
- Prepare reports and ensure they're concise, accurate and presentable.
- Manage the supplier payment process and budgets.
- Manage junior staff – together with AD and SAD.

Minimum qualifications
Diploma or undergraduate qualification (such as BCom, BA, BSoc Science or BTech) in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, PR or a relevant field);
- National Senior Certificate.
Requirements
- Proven experience in account management in a PR agency (3 – 4 years).
- Retail/FMCG consumer PR experience preferable.
- Proficient with Chase software.
