Key responsibilities:
- Monitor sales
- Identify customer trends and predict customer demand
- Maintain in-season product plans and forecast
- Order merchandise
- Analyse sales reports
- Serve as liaison between customers, marketing and buying departments
- Work alongside buyers and others to analyse, plan, forecast, and evaluate financial data to support and implement profitable merchandise strategies.
- Manage inventory flow of goods to support sales and product turn for a portion of a product category as assigned.
- Analyse and maintain individual store inventory levels to maximize sales
Skills required:
- Awareness of current trends and what is happening in retail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers and others at all levels.
- Comfortable with learning and adapting to new systems
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively individually as well as within a team environment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in business, design or marketing
- 2-3 years of proven work experience as a Planner in the fashion industry
- Computer literacy in Excel, Power Point and Outlook
