Provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric care through the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients presenting with a wide range of health conditions. Formulate and implement appropriate treatment plans, including medication and therapeutic interventions. Demonstrate clinical competence in the assessment and initial management of undifferentiated patients presenting to a district hospital Emergency Centre. Perform overtime and after-hours duties in the Emergency Centre, including the management of medical, surgical, trauma, and psychiatric emergencies within the district hospital scope of practice. Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based patient records and complete all required medical, legal, and administrative documentation. Refer patients to specialists and other healthcare providers where appropriate. Complete required CPD activities to maintain HPCSA registration. Uphold the reputation, ethical standards, and integrity of the medical profession.
