Kendrick Recruitment is looking for a dedicated and innovative Groups & Incentives Travel Specialist. This role requires a passionate individual who is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring sustainability within our communities and environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Creative and innovative planning and designing of Leisure Group itineraries (incentive-specific experience advantageous).

Understanding specific requirements for Group itineraries, including general group policies.

Managing the reservations process, including qualifying group requirements to meet their budget.

Ensuring timely responses in line with standard operating practices.
-
Handling bookings from quote to finalisation, including invoicing and travel documents.
-
Proactively selling products and services to ensure the best possible itinerary for guests.

Maintaining consistent interaction and clear communication with colleagues, agents, guests, and suppliers.

Upholding company values: Care of the people, Care of land, and Care of wildlife.

Occasionally traveling with groups or undertaking site inspections with agents/guests.
Knowledge Required:
-
Excellent service delivery to agents/guests.
-
In-depth knowledge of Tourplan or similar booking systems.
-
Extensive geographical, logistical, and product knowledge of South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, and Kenya.

Additional experience in Namibia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Mozambique is advantageous.

Willingness and aptitude to learn.
Skills Required:

Strong communication skills and excellent command of English (spoken and written).

Effective time and desk management, working in an orderly and focused manner.

Ability to work under pressure and show initiative.

Understanding of the travel industry, preferably Tour Operating specifically.

Attention to detail and excellent negotiation skills.
-
Ability to elaborate in writing explanations or descriptions.

Exceptional customer focus.
-
Computer literacy with in-depth knowledge of Word and Excel.
-
Calm and professional manner in servicing agents/guests.
-
Independent, curious, and “can do it” nature.
Experience Required:

Minimum of 3 years of Touring groups-specific experience.
