Job description
We are looking for an experienced Low Bed Truck Driver with a valid Code 14 driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in operating low bed trucks, with a proven track record of safely transporting heavy machinery and oversized loads.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate low bed trucks to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and oversized loads to various destinations.
· Ensure the safe loading, securing, and unloading of cargo.
· Adhere to all road safety regulations, including the legal requirements for transporting oversized loads.
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
· Maintain accurate records of trips, including delivery logs, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance reports.
· Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site supervisors, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
· Valid Code 14 driver’s license with a valid PDP.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience driving low bed trucks.
· Proven experience in transporting heavy machinery and oversized loads.
· Contactable references from previous employers.
· Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting oversized loads.
· Ability to perform routine maintenance and inspections on the vehicle.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· High level of professionalism, reliability, and punctuality.
· Physical fitness and the ability to manage the demands of the job.
