Responsibilities:
- Undergo training and sign the company’s contract
- Understand the company’s policy on work shifts, guest’s possessions and privacy issues
- Provide basic housekeeping duties including changing the sheets, changing and arranging the towels, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting and rearranging the room after guests check out
- Report and return any guest properties found in the rooms while rendering service
- Report cases of damages or missing items to the supervisor
- Work with a team of housekeepers on each shift
- Clean, disinfect and store all equipment at the end of the shift
- Maintain a positive relationship with employees
- Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies
- Respond to calls for housekeeping problems
- Assist with laundry management, including washing, drying, ironing and sorting linen
- Report, turn in and log all lost and found items
- Sweep and Mop floors, beat out rugs, wipe down counters, wash dishes, polish glassware
- Clean upholstered furniture
- Carefully move aside home decor, prevent damage during, then return everything to its place after cleaning
- Perform detailed deep cleans when required
- Ensure there are no bad smells in the apartment
Requirements:
- High school diploma
- At least 2 years of previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospitality or vacation rental setting.
- Attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations and proper use of cleaning agents
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to report issues promptly.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks, including moving furniture.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
