Requirements
A PhD in Sociology of Education or related areas.
A strong foundation in Sociology of Education content knowledge to competently teach content at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Knowledge and ability to teach different research paradigms in Education.
Evidence (e.g., academic transcripts or teaching experience) of having studied or taught Sociology of Education content.
Evidence of experience in teaching in school contexts/tertiary institutions.
Evidence of research potential or output (e.g., publications).
Ability to supervise research projects at the Honours, Masters, and PhD level.
Duties
Teaching Sociology of Education courses at the Undergraduate level.
Teaching different research paradigms in Honours Education courses.
Teaching Sociology of Education courses at postgraduate level.
Supervising Honours, Masters, and PhD student research projects.
Supervising students on Teaching Experience.
Course coordination and administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Representing the Division on School committees.
Producing research outputs.
