Ensure that the equipment used for heating, steam production, water systems, and other vital systems in poultry processing operations functions efficiently and safely. The role may also involve general metalworking and welding tasks to support the maintenance and repair of large processing machines, tanks, pipes, and boilers that play a crucial part in the poultry production process.
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Red Seal Certificate (Trade as a Boilermaker)
- Proven experience as a Boilermaker, preferably in a poultry processing or similar industrial setting.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Detail and accuracy orientated.
- Effective communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Developing, installation and commissioning of steel structures
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Repair and replace defective components using welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
- Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to optimize equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history.
