Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher, ideally in Operations, Business Related or Hospitality

3 years+ work experience as a Group Operations Director/Manager - Essential

Description (Summary)
-
Establish the annual Company Business Plan, Operating Budget and Capital Budget and presentation to the Head Office for approval

Allocating funds and authorizing expenditures in line with the Company's budget, goal and objectives

Develop and maintain a qualified, cohesive management teams
-
Protect the Company's license to operate by ensuring adherence to all laws and legal requirements
-
Utilise considerable independent judgement in decisions that influence Hotel/Lodge Operations.

Ensure that all operational departments are maximising revenue and profit potential, whilst minimising expenditure.

Ensure that operational expenses adhere to budget guidelines.

Leverage resources to incorporate best practice and deliver exceptional guest service on a cost-effective basis.

Coordinate with property General Managers in all facets of their hotel's operations.

Be knowledgeable on brand standards.

Full HR compliance/policies/procedures, adhering to local, state and federal laws are adhered.

Oversee selection and performance of vendor services, including preparation of requests for proposal and service agreements; monitor vendor performance against service level agreements.

Develop and control operational budgets to promote profitability and ensure the company has all the resources required to meet its objectives within agreed financial parameters.

Oversee purchasing to ensure that the company has the goods and services required for production purposes within agreed costs and quality standards and at the right times.

Evaluate overall company performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics.

Direct and oversee operations staff to ensure that they are motivated and trained to carry out their responsibilities to the required standard.

Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams

Maintain working relationships with the General Managers and Directors to ensure effective co-ordination of all company activities in support of corporate objectives.

Act as the company’s main adviser on all issues relating to operational functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the company maintains its competitive position.

Sets and ensures that the Hotel teams are aware of the performance indicators which are used in measuring the effectiveness of the Department.

Produces reports as required by the Hotels and Head Office.

Visits key clients and prospective key clients and attends workshops and tradeshows as required.
