Senior Finance Manager currently exists at MiWay Head Office: Kosmosdal, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsible for the financial accounting function in an organisation. Responsibilities include the preparation of financial accounts, establishing accounting policies/procedures, ensuring compliance of subsidiaries (when a head office function), maintenance of asset register, financial records and stock control.
- Management & Group Reporting including Quarterly reporting to Board of Directors
- Management of accounting policies, systems, and procedures
- General Ledger management and ensuring integrity of all accounts during month-end close
- Drive financial planning of the company
- Financial forecasting, business case evaluation and overall forward looking analysis of the business
- Management of the budgeting process of the company
- Cost analysis and management
- Statutory reporting
- Annual Financial Statement preparation
- Tax management
- Overall financial performance analysis and presentation to management
- Liaise and coordinate with Internal and External Auditors
- Provide leadership and drive human capital management
- People management and driving performance in the department
- Ad Hoc Projects
- CA(SA) with at least 10 years post articles experience
- Comprehensive experience in financial systems
- At least 3 years insurance industry experience either in Financial Management/Accounting or External audit capacity
- Exposure to IFRS 17
- IFRS and General Accepted Accounting Principles
- Tax acts (VAT and Income Tax)
- Short-term insurance act and regulations
