Dispatch Clerk
Job Summary
Namib Biltong- Wellington seek a Dispatch Clerk to coordinates daily dispatch operations by scheduling deliveries, preparing delivery documentation, monitoring vehicle movements, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to ensure efficient and timely dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate daily deliveries and returns.
- Prepare dispatch notes, invoices, delivery notes.
- Assign routes and delivery schedules to drivers.
- Monitor vehicle locations and delivery progress.
- Communicate with drivers, regarding delivery status.
- Record and update dispatch information in the company SOP.
- Resolve delivery issues and escalate problems when necessary.
- Ensure all dispatch documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maintain filing systems and dispatch records.
- Assist with inventory and stock movement records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch reports.
- Manage of stock takes and stock levels
Qualifications
- High school r equivalent (certificate or diploma in logistics or administration is an advantage).
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, warehouse, or administrative roles preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
- Experience with dispatch or inventory management software is an advantage.
