Join us as our new Account Manager, Dairy - Cheese in South Africa
Are you a dynamic results-driven individual with a passion for the Dairy Industry having expertised in cheese? If so, then we are looking for you! We are expanding our Southern African team and looking for an Account Manager with a technical cheese application background.
In this role you'll make impact by:
Maintain and develop business with existing customers and proactively identify opportunities with new customers.
Follow and execute customer generated projects
Conduct technical presentations at customers, explaining the application of Novonesis culture and enzyme solutions.
Organise and provide training for customers where required and participate in company technical meetings.
Map individual customers in own customer portfolio (sites, production, people, opportunities).
Technical knowledge and practical experience in cheese production with the ability to optimize processes, trouble shoot and recommend specific cultures and enzymes based on customer requirements.
Responsible for developing technical and process understanding of customer systems to optimally apply Novonesis culture and enzyme solutions.
Responsible for growing cheese competences in the Southern African region and support customers in factory trials when required.
Build a strong network with global technical and commercial development colleagues to facilitate in the local growth and retention projects.
To succeed you must hold:
Education & Experience: M.Sc./B.Sc. in Food/Dairy Science.
Minimum of 5 years’ practical experience in the cheese industry with a strong technical understanding of dairy production processes.
Position requires an individual with good analytical skills, a structured approach to tasks, high energy and flexibility in their schedule, good time management and task prioritization capabilities.
Disciplined and willing to learn and continuously improve commercial and technical selling skills.
Comfortable about managing and interacting with customers and handling negotiations.
Ability and willingness to work on administrative tasks including budgeting, reporting, projects monitoring, customer updates.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
