High Voltage Engineer | Leadership Role | Power Infrastructure
We are currently seeking a highly experienced High Voltage Engineer to join a dynamic engineering environment focused on large-scale power infrastructure projects.
This is a senior-level opportunity suited for a technically strong professional with proven leadership capability and deep expertise in high voltage systems.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in high voltage engineering
- Must have managed a team of 50 people
- Proven experience managing teams of 50+ personnel
- Must be Afrikaans-speaking
- Strong background in:
- Substations (up to 300kV)
- Transmission lines
- Pylons and overhead line structures
- Underground cable networks
Technical Experience:
- High voltage equipment, including:
- Transformers
- Circuit breakers
- Disconnectors
- Current & voltage transformers
- Overhead line connections and supporting infrastructure
- Ability to design, review, and verify integrated electrical solutions
- Proficiency in:
- L-CAD
- EPLAN
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large technical teams across HV projects
- Oversee design, installation, and commissioning of high voltage systems
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations
- Analyse system performance and implement improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver turnkey solutions

Pay: R1 000 000,00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Johannesburg, Gauteng: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)
