PURPOSE OF JOB
- To execute the restaurant plan by running the shift in line with all KFC systems and processes through:
- Executing a winning culture through Company principles,
- Execute systems and processes to ensure that operational standards are achieved
- Execute the delivery of customer and people promises.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
PEOPLE
- Utilize principles to drive culture in restaurants during shifts
- Ensure that the shift is effectively and optimum staffed at all times
- Encourage team members to execute product procedures in line with CSL
- Ensure that new team members execute training against their training schedule and plan
- Assist the ARM/RGM in execution and completion of quarterly training initiatives such as new Window launches in line with the execution completion plan.
- Ensure that Company Procedures are followed rigorously in order to ensure the security of people, premises, stock, equipment and monies at all times.
CUSTOMER:
- Create a customer focused environment which is appealing to KFC’s diverse customer base
- Work with the RGM/ARM with the completion of period ROCC evaluation and implement actions to ensure resolution of issues and to drive consistent improvement. Assist RGM/ARM to follow up on ROCC Action Plans, completing actions in a timely manner.
- Encouraging and driving team members to execute all product procedures according to standards set out
- Address all customer complaints in line with company policy
- Ensure that the store consistently provides an excellent customer service by making use of the company tools and reports
SALES
- Consistently seek to maximize the sales on each shift through exceptional operational standards and a ‘maniacal’ approach to customer service. Set and communicate Bold Sales Goals to the team, striving to consistently exceed sales targets.
- Assist with developing a strong sales culture in your store, understand this and filter down to team members for every shift.
PROFIT
- Maximise the profitability of each shift by understanding and controlling all restaurant costs (e.g. labour, food, maintenance, and consumables etc.).
- Utilise system reports and company tools to guarantee 100% product availability, investigating and following up on all discrepancies.
QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- Grade 12
- Previous experience of managing a shift/ running a restaurant (QSR)
- Previous KFC experience advantageous
- Excellent planning and time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills
- Customer-centric mindset.
